They came like a flame – those words – filling a page, then two, then more; spreading like a wildfire, stoked with kerosine. That’s what it felt like as I wrote the second short story of Carnival: Tales From Within.

I started it less than a month ago and despite the mayhem my life often decides to share with me, I found my average daily word count exceeding my personal best. There was just something about this tale that flowed naturally from my rattling fingertips.

Taking a darker turn than Mannequin from the off, this story is a love letter to any reader with a sinister appetite.

I am really excited to share this with you all and maybe I will soon… but not quite yet. First it needs a proofread and edit before I can finalise the manuscript. Then, I need to title it. That’s right, I still haven’t titled it. Unlike the body of the story, it’s name alludes me still.

So for now, let me share with you the synopsis and hopefully soon I will be able to present you with more.
