Lo – shudder I – to such a thought,
A horror they must ‘dure.
Stretching hand and limb to grasp,
What muffled voice do lure.
Behind this film, this plaster firm,
Who’s body – pressed against.
A wall in motion, possessed perhaps,
Thy presence they hath sensed
